Concerns regarding high fire risk

The Formentera Council has expressed concerns over “the elevated risk of wildfires on the island.” So far this year, firefighting services have managed to assure water levels of 60 litres per square metre of land, whereas the normal amount for this time of year is 150 L. Autumn is traditionally the wettest season in Formentera, when stocks of water can reach 300 L. However, last year's water collection during this season was 80 L.
