Carrer Pla del Rei closed to traffic 14 December

Starting at eight in the morning this coming Sunday, 14 December, carrer Pla del Rei ('Pla del Rei street') will be closed to vehicle traffic from the junction that road shares with carrer Eivissa. The municipality expects the resumption of normal traffic by the following Monday, 15 December.

The closure is necessary so that work along carrer Pla del Rei can be performed: the Telefònica company plans to cut across the artery in order to link two currently disparate sections of fibre optic cable – one situated near the pedestrian portion of carrer Eivissa and the other located at the sa Tanca Vella monument.

The Council scheduled the work on a Sunday in an effort to reduce disruptions to local businesses. However, the administration wishes to beg the pardon of residents for any noise or inconveniences caused by the activity.
