'Inhòspit' returns to la Mola with fresh dose of new theatre

foto inhospit 2019 2CiF culture councillor Susana Labrador and ESPAI F associates Miquel Costa and Manolo de Oya gathered today at 12.30pm in the Casa del Poble in la Mola to unveil the 2019 programme of “Inhòspit”.

Now in its second year, Inhòspit starts its three-day run on May 8 with a selection of new theatre presented by Espai F with help from the Council's culture and tourism offices.

The family-friendly programme—a promising local, national and international bill that ranges from dance, theatre and performance—includes nine shows from companies in Formentera, Eivissa, Catalunya, the Basque Country, Italy and Wales.

Workshops and engagement with schools
This year will additionally see two guest troupes leading students in theatre workshops, and on the last day attendees will be treated to a concert. Also new in 2019, pupils in la Mola will sit in on live rehearsals mornings before the festival.

Part of the “social and cultural project” underpinning the Casa del Poble, Inhòspit is put together once a year in an effort to reinvigorate la Mola not only socially and culturally, but financially, too. Open-air performances will take place in the wood near the school, molí d'en Botigues windmill, the town square and the Casa del Poble patio. Shows are scheduled all three days at six, seven and eight p.m. with a preliminary meet-up at the Casa del Poble. To sign up to participate in one of the workshops, send an email to casadelpobledelamola@gmail.com.
