Today the Office of Entrepreneurship of the Consell de Formentera presented "Formentera Impulsa", a temporary space for new entrepreneurs, micro-enterprises and small businesses on the island. "Formentera Impulsa" is housed at the Casal d'Entitats, the former site of the Office of Social Welfare, and offers a set of services that make it easier for entrepreneurs to run their business in the early years.
Ana Juan, president and councillor of entrepreneurship of the Consell de Formentera, described the goal as "helping start-ups develop their activity, improving training and creating a space to share experiences and synergies". She cast the initiative as "support for those lacking a space to perform administrative work and for all those who need training, guidance and advice when starting a business".
Spaces
"Formentera Impulsa" has a co-working room with six workstations, meeting room, reception and waiting area, toilets and car park. The Office of Local Development also has a training room on site that can be used based on availability and where entrepreneurs can take part in capacity building. At the Espai Empresarial, member enterprises will benefit from a reception service, access control, photocopies, online services, furniture, multipurpose room, fibre-optic connection and air conditioning. Businesses may use the Espai Empresarial for €50 a month.
Services and website
In addition, "Formentera Impulsa" offers a wide range of services, including a "Support Spot" (Punt d'Atenció a l'Emprenedor, PAE), for local entrepreneurs; employment and training resources like a direct link to and information on the Consell's partner programmes at the regional employment office (SOIB); resources on grants and subsidies for businesses and individuals, and programmes for local businesses.
