Today a group of students from schools in La Mola, Sant Ferran and Sant Francesc took part in an educational event as part of the Formentera Office of Social Welfare campaign 'Don't Drown in Alcohol' to stop underage drinking and sales of alcohol to islanders under 18. Accompanied by Pilar Daviu, the police liaison officer, and Michael Romero, staff specialist for youth, the students visited assorted restaurants and shops to distribute posters reading 'We do not sell alcohol to minors here'. Various departments of the Consell de Formentera have collaborated in the initiative, together with law enforcement, businesses, SMEs, schools, families and local sports clubs.
