On 21 November a government commission of the Formentera Island Council approved the auction of a property – known as Ca Ses Ferreres and located in El Pilar de la Mola – containing several plots of land and an existing house.
The property, which is located in a remote area of La Mola, presented very few possibilities for public-use benefits and for this reason it was decided that the Council would proceed to sale of the land.
The Formentera Council commissioned a valuation of the land and its existing construction by the TINSA Ltd. company estimated at 529,606.20€. This sum will serve as the starting-off point for bidding, which will be open and standard procedure.
Individuals interested in acquiring the property will be asked to provide a provisional deposit of 3% of asking price to the Formentera Council's Office of Treasury.
Notice of public auction of the land was given in BOIB number 174 (19 December 2013) with a deadline of fifteen business days beginning the day after publication.
