The Consell de Formentera announces that, in response to the alleged gang rape and assault last July of a local 19-year-old girl, local government will seek to join the case as a “public accuser” (acusador popular). Formentera’s government reinforces its support for the victim and trusts justice will act swiftly to clarify the facts, and that the law will be upheld.
